Fares Information
Our best value fare is the discounted, non-refundable fare. To qualify for this, you must make your booking at least 8 days before your scheduled departure date. This fare is best for those that are rock solid on your travel plans and or may be returning to the area to reschedule your trip, at a later, unknown date. Being non-refundable, means just that. There are no refunds under any circumstance, but if a cancellation or change in plans is initiated, those monies will be put on account for you to use for two years from your original departure date.
A refundable fare is best if you are making a last minute trip to Key West or if you're not sure if you will be visiting the area again within two years from your original date of departure. If a cancellation or change in plans is initiated any balance would be returned to the purchaser.

Full fare tickets are REFUNDABLE minus any applicable cancellation/change fee per person. Any changes to a reservation may result in a one way fare adjustment in addition to applicable fees, per person.

Discounted fares are offered for purchases a minimum of 8 days in advance of travel date. Discounted fares are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you or Key West Express must cancel for any reason whatsoever, your remaining monetary value may be applied towards future travel, for a period of two years from the original date of travel. If you cancel/change your reservation it may result in a change of fare in addition to applicable fees per person.

All guests will incur a fee per ticket for any no-show, cancelled or transferred reservation & each ticket rescheduled, transferred, lost or reprinted regardless of ticket type or fare.
Any travel changes may also incur a change in fare.

Passengers under 18 years of age, must be accompanied by an adult.
Sailing Schedule
Schedules & times are subject to change. Travel time and actual time on Island varies depending on weather & sea conditions however, plan on approximately 3.5 hours between ports.
Ft. Myers Beach location welcomes guests aboard year-round, while Marco Island location welcomes guests aboard seasonally from end December through April.

Parking
Do you need to reserve parking in advance?
No, it is not required, but it is highly recommended. A parking fee is only in place at our Fort Myers Beach terminal. If parking is reserved in advance, then your boarding passes and parking pass will be included in your confirmation email. Otherwise, you will need to stop by the ticketing office, the day of your departure to secure your parking and receive your boarding documents.
- Fort Myers Beach - $20.00 per day, per vehicle, on-site parking. Parking reservations are recommended.
- Marco Island - Complimentary parking is available across the street, from the Rose Marina.
- Key West - Is available at the city owned lot across the street and is paid directly to the City of Key West.
Boarding & Departure Times
- Ft. Myers Beach to Key West: Boarding begins at 7:00AM. Boarding required no later than 7:30AM. (8:00AM departure)
- Marco Island to Key West: Boarding begins at 7:00AM. Boarding required no later than 7:30AM. (8:00AM departure)
- Key West to Ft. Myers Beach: Boarding begins at 5:00PM. Boarding required no later than 5:30PM. (6:00PM departure)
- Key West to Marco Island: Boarding begins at 4:00PM. Boarding required no later than 4:30PM. (5:00PM departure)
Passenger are required to be onboard no later than 30 minutes prior to departure. It is passengers sole responsibility to be onboard as required to avoid missing departure.
Fares and Fees FAQ
What is the cancellation policy for full-fare or advance purchase tickets?
This depends on how far in advance of travel you cancel your trip. If you cancel 3 or more days in advance the cancellation fee is $25 per person, two days or less is $40.00 per person and any cancellation or change on or after your departure date is $60.00 per person.
What fees apply if I change my travel dates?
Changes to your booking would have the same fees as a cancellation, in addition to any changes in fares or fare type. If you change 3 or more days in advance the change fee is $25 per person, two days or less is $40.00 per person and any change on or after your departure date is $60.00 per person.
Do I need to reserve parking in advance?
No, but it is more desirable to pre-pay for your parking if originating from the Fort Myers Beach terminal, as you will receive your boarding & parking passes upon completion of booking. Passengers originating from Marco Island and Key West will automatically receive their passes upon completion of your booking.
How much does parking cost at Fort Myers Beach vs Marco Island vs Key West?
Key West Express has a $20 per day, per vehicle parking fee, at the Fort Myers Beach terminal. At Marco Island, there is complimentary parking available across the street from the marina. In Key West we do not have a dedicated parking facility. You may park at the city owned parking garage across the street from the ferry terminal, for a fee.
What happens to my tickets if sailing is cancelled due to weather?
This really depends on the type of fare/ticket you choose, at the time of booking. If Key West Express has to cancel due to weather, your booking is either refunded, minus any online booking/convenience fees or if you opted for the non-refundable option, your balance would remain on account for a period of 2 years, from the original departure date.
Are there any additional port fees or taxes?
No, our fares are inclusive, the final costs. No add-on's or extras.
Do you offer military or group discounts?
Yes, we do. Military discounts are given to those individuals that are active duty only and are good for themselves and one guest. We do also have a group sales coordinator that you can speak to for qualifying group minimum of 15 paying adults. When you call, please specify what you are calling about and we can get you to the right people.
