The past Key West BrewFest events have been so much fun and an amazing success for the local charities, the committee is teaming up to bring it to you again! Between 150 and 200 beers and micro-brews are on tap at this "tasty" annual event that benefits the charitable efforts of the Key West Sunrise Rotary Club of the Conch Republic.
Like snowflakes, no two sunsets are ever alike. June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBT people have had in the world.

Florida Lobster.......
Every July the coastal areas of Florida are flooded with lobster hunters trying to get their share of this year's bounty. There are two Florida Lobster Seasons, the 2 Day Mini Season and the 8 month regular lobster season. The mini lobster season is always the last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday in July. Make sure to always verify dates and regulations with Florida Fish and Wildlife. It begins at 12:01 am on Wednesday and ends at 12:00 midnight on Thursday.
What do you get when you combine one literary great, a 3-day marlin tournament, the running of the bulls (not real ones though), look-a-like contest for white-bearded men, book readings and signings, a street fair and an arm-wrestling contest???? July's Hemingway Days, of course.

The Key West Songwriters festival is the world’s LARGEST event of its kind. The five day music mania begins in early to mid May, with free shows daily as well as some performances requiring reservations. This is THE must do for music junkies! Some of Nashville’s greatest talents made their debuts in Key West!
The Key West Garden Club is located at the West Martello Tower, a National Historic site.
The site was originally built as a protector to Fort Taylor, also on Key West but was rendered obsolete before it was completed.
